Season's Greetings!
As the year comes to a close, we want to highlight our key milestones of 2025.

Our Leadership Circle
First and foremost, thank you to our Leadership Circle members: Actis, Alcazar Energy, EcoPragma Capital, EDP, Eurelectric, The Gilardini Foundation, KKR, National Grid, Octopus Energy, Quadrature Climate Foundation, SDCL, Wärtsilä, and our 2025 additions: Arup, Cygnum Capital, and Davidson Kempner. This year would not have been possible without their support, and we can’t wait to expand further in 2026.
Our Show
Since our rebrand in Summer 2024, Cleaning Up has grown steadily. We surpassed 2 million downloads in Season 15, hit 2.25 million downloads by Season 16, and we’re now averaging over 22,000 downloads per episode - up 18% from Season 15. The momentum is tangible, and one we’re keen to build on.
During Season 16, we hosted our first live podcast recording in Berlin with Michael and Kingsmill Bond of Ember, focusing on his Electrotech Revolution report.
Our second live episode was filmed with Michael and Lord John Browne during our Seasonal Drinks Reception in London, and reached over 10,000 views in the week one box office. We are looking forward to hosting more live episodes alongside our event programme in 2026!
We’ve recorded 238 episodes with more than 200 of the world’s leading climate and clean energy voices. This year alone, we added 32 new members to our world-class alumni network- you can find them here, on your favourite podcast platform, or on YouTube.
We wrapped Season 16 with Lord Adair Turner’s annual end-of-year reflections, hosted by Baroness Bryony Worthington last week.
Our Events
Building on our launch in September 2024, we hosted eight events across the US and Europe this year. Our closed door conversations covered everything from AI and energy security to emerging markets and the Trump Administration.
We’re continuing to scale our event programme in 2026 - including our first events in the GCC and Asia-Pacific regions – with a presence at most of the major climate and clean energy events. We’re adding Abu Dhabi, Antalya (COP31), Helsinki, San Francisco, and Singapore to our existing lineup of Brussels, New York, and London.

Looking Ahead
In January, we’re launching our revamped Cleaning Up newsletter with Angus McCrone, former Chief Editor of BloombergNEF, at the helm. We’re excited to expand our offering and to bring you more Cleaning Up content.
Fundamentally, our goal is to convene the right people to drive rigorous thinking on climate solutions, accelerate action, and improve the level of public debate. Our show, our events, and our newsletter serve as the framework through which we scale impact.
We’ll be back on January 7th, with our Season 17 premiere. Enjoy the festive season, and we’ll see you in the new year!
All the best,
The Cleaning Up Team
